The Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Khmelev, Zhabinka District, built in 1725, partially rebuilt in the 19th century, is an architectural monument, combining baroque features with elements of classicism. There are unique icons in the church, including the Chmielew copy of the miraculous icon of the Mother of God of Częstochowa. In the 1990s, the icon began to bring healing from ailments, especially from demon possession, cancer, drunkenness and drug addiction, as well as infertility. In 1999, the Khmelevsky parish was transformed into the Spaso-Preobrazhenskaya male hermitage, the rector and builder of which was appointed hegumen Seraphim, monastic buildings and the first church in Belarus in honor of the Czestochowa Icon of the Mother of God were erected in it, in 2004 the hermitage was transformed into the monastery of the same name . Pilgrims come here every day from both Belarus and Russia, Ukraine, Poland and other countries. The monastery is especially famous for the service of the abbot Abbot Seraphim.
